Because I've made some animations that are related to these types of games like Super Mario, Mario Kart and the other ones that are not licensed by Nintendo like Jetpack Joyride, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds etc. I just don't want Nintendo to strike my videos and get a cease and desist letter just like how SML did in the past. I really wanna know if it's possible to mod Mario's original death animations (aside from being flattened) back into the game. There's actually unused recreations of them in the demo files and that's one thing I miss dearly from the remake. It's boggling how this remake got done dirty compared to SMRPG and TTYD's.

Never knew this! But also, part of this, is that the levels are designed so that you discover these things anyways, by experimenting or, like in the example you have where it seemed obvious to you to be a death pit, by being another continuous or repeated motion. For example, although it looks like death, even without the gradient, the level funnels your attention in the area, and provides one example of hitting thru a block directly above it, so it makes the connection in a player brain (I should try that again, this pit is small, isolated, and looks like it could hold a secret!
